Police officers from Bolesławiec received a report of an intoxicated driver travelling along one of the city’s streets. The person reporting the incident, who was shopping at the same store, noticed a distinct smell of alcohol coming from the suspect. As he was leaving the premises, he saw the man get behind the wheel and drive away.
The witness immediately alerted the officers.
The 48-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was detained. The reporting person’s suspicions were confirmed. The irresponsible driver was completely drunk; he had over 3 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.
The officers seized the 48-year-old’s driving licence. He could now face up to two years in prison.
