The Bolesławiec City Council approved the conclusion of an agreement between the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Gromadka, the Municipality of Warta Bolesławiecka, the Municipality and City of Nowogrodziec, and the Municipality of Osiecznica concerning the Municipality of Bolesławiec taking over the responsibility for providing shelter to homeless men from these municipalities.

Bolesławiec City Hall:

The justification includes the fact that there is only one shelter for homeless men in Bolesław County, located in Bolesławiec and currently run by the Polish Red Cross/Bolesławiec Branch, supported for many years by a subsidy from the Bolesławiec city budget. It is understandable that neighboring municipalities, faced with the obligation to fulfill their social assistance responsibilities, wish to use the facility’s resources in the coming years.

All interested municipalities will co-finance the shelter’s operation by providing the Municipality of Bolesławiec with earmarked subsidies to carry out their own responsibilities, based on an intermunicipal agreement specifying the number of places for each municipality and the flat-rate cost of one place.

It is estimated that the cost of one place should not exceed PLN 10,000.
