These funds are for the project entitled “Coalition for Clean Air of the Municipalities of the Western Intervention Area (ZOI).” Its leader is the Local Branch of the Wolna Przedsiębiorczość Association.

These grants will be awarded to residents of the following municipalities: the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Gromadka, the Municipality and City of Lwówek Śl., the Municipality of Pieńsk, the Municipality of Siekierczyn, the Municipality of Sulików and the Municipality of Zawidów, who have the right to dispose of real property for the purposes of implementing the project (single-family buildings located within the aforementioned municipalities). Through the project, they will be able to reduce local emissions of particulate matter and CO2, and, if PV systems are installed, also significantly reduce their electricity bills.

Residents planning to replace old furnaces with new heat sources will be able to visit consultation points established in each municipality participating in the project. The grant will cover 85 percent of the investment costs, but may not exceed 35,000 złoty.

The funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis. Residents will first have to cover 100 percent of the costs themselves, then visit a consultation point and complete an application; the costs will subsequently be reimbursed.

Financial support may be obtained, among other things, for installing heat sources based on renewable energy sources, such as heat pumps, or for installing boilers burning biomass or gaseous fuels.

The entire project will be completed in October 2021. It will be implemented as part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020. Its total value is nearly 9.5 million złoty.
