Each year, the Museum of Ceramics held regular cycles of decorative workshops: Christmas, carnival, Easter and ceramics workshops accompanying the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival. The practical classes were very popular. More than 5,000 people took part in them in total, mainly children and school-age youth.

Five exhibitions were organised together with the Czech partner. The Museum of Ceramics presented the exhibitions “Painted Furniture from the Karkonosze Region” and “Winter Sports in the Karkonosze Mountains”. The first featured traditional wooden furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries, while the second explored the development of winter sports practised in the Karkonosze Mountains before the Second World War. Both exhibitions were prepared from the collections of Krkonošské muzeum ve Vrchlabí. In Vrchlabí, the exhibition “Archaeology of Bolesławiec County” was presented, showing the most interesting artefacts acquired during archaeological research conducted by the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, as well as the photographic exhibition “Not Only the Karkonosze”, prepared together with Bolesławiec’s “Camera” Photographic Association. The series of presentations concluded with an iconographic exhibition shown simultaneously at both partner institutions. It featured old prints, photographs and postcards illustrating what both towns looked like in the past. Both museums also presented scale models showing what their respective towns looked like centuries ago; these were subsequently added to the permanent historical exhibitions.

The project also provided funding to make the permanent exhibitions of both departments of the Bolesławiec museum more attractive. Specially produced films, presentations and games will soon be installed on modern multimedia equipment, helping visitors learn about the history of the town and Bolesławiec ceramics in an enjoyable and engaging way. Work is also nearing completion on a new website for the Museum of Ceramics, which will have a version for mobile devices.
