We know the name of the new Lower Silesian voivode. (Let us recall. The previous voivode – Paweł Hreniak – received 15,166 votes in the parliamentary elections in constituency no. 3 and won a seat in parliament).

P. Hreniak has been replaced by Jarosław Obremski, a Wrocław local-government official, former chairman of the Wrocław City Council, former deputy mayor of Wrocław and former senator. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has already presented the new voivode with his appointment document.

A profile of the new head of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office is presented by portalsamorzadowy.pl:

As a candidate of the Rafał Dutkiewicz Voters’ Electoral Committee, he won a Senate seat in the 2011 elections; in the chamber, he joined the Independent Senators’ Circle. In 2015, he successfully sought re-election to the Senate, running as an independent candidate with the support of, among others, Law and Justice and Poland Together.

In 2016, he became a member of the Law and Justice parliamentary club. In 2019, he was not elected for another term.
