Police officers from Bolesławiec’s Economic Crime Prevention Team, during another operation with officers from the Customs and Tax Control Unit in Zgorzelec, uncovered a venue in the center of the City of Ceramics where illegal gambling was taking place.
Seven gaming machines worth more than PLN 80,000 and cash amounting to PLN 7,500 were secured at the venue.
The machines were handed over to tax control officers, who will conduct further proceedings in the case.

The machines had games of chance installed, operated for commercial purposes, for which a concession required to operate a casino is necessary.
The police add:
Under the Fiscal Penal Code, organizing gambling in violation of the law is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.
