On 3 December, the 21st Regional Final of the Police Knowledge Competition was held. It was organised by the Lower Silesian Provincial OHP Headquarters, the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters and the Bolesławiec Labour Corps.
The competition was attended by organisational units from the Jelenia Góra region:
- 1-3 Labour Corps in Bolesławiec
- 1-6 Labour Corps in Jelenia Góra
- 1-10 Labour Corps in Kamienna Góra
- Training and Education Centre in Mysłakowice.
Each locality was represented by two three-person teams.
The competition took place in the assembly hall and rooms made available by the director of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec, who was also an honorary guest at the ceremony. The following guests also attended the regional final: Mariusz Mendocha, deputy head of the Education, Culture and Sport Department of the Bolesławiec District Office; Sabina Guszpil, head of the Organisational Department of the District Office; Police Inspector Beata Borowicz, an expert from the Prevention Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław (chair of the jury); Staff Sergeant Marcin Błaszkiewicz from the Provincial Police Headquarters (jury member); representatives of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters: Jarosław Burdzy, deputy district police commander; Staff Sergeant Mariusz Białowąs (jury member), press officer Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, as well as representatives of the Lower Silesian Provincial OHP Headquarters: director Olga Jabłonko and senior sports specialist Wojciech Gembara.

On this ceremonial day, we were also joined by friends with whom we work every day: Ms Urszula Róg, director of the Guild of Various Crafts in Bolesławiec; Mr Edmund Ostrowski, deputy senior of the Guild; and Mr Jacek Nesler, former Commander of the Labour Corps.
The competition consisted of three parts: a written test, an observation test and the preparation of a preventive leaflet. The young participants worked on the competition tasks for approximately two hours. The results were as follows:
- Bolesławiec Labour Corps – group I (the Labour Corps was represented by students from class IF of the Level-I Vocational School of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec: Emilia Orlak, Natalia Wiszniewska, Sabina Kłos)
- Mysłakowice Labour Corps – group I
- Kamienna Góra – group I.
A second team from “Budowlanka” also took part in the competition. It consisted of: Wioleta Hetnar, Gabriela Tyczyńska, and Maria Tomoń, also from class IF.

After the competition stage, the girls from the Bolesławiec team gave a cheerful vocal and artistic performance that they had specially prepared for the occasion.
The event concluded with the presentation of prizes and gifts to the young participants, so that everyone would leave satisfied and with the feeling that their hard work had been rewarded.
The prizes for the winners were funded by Bolesławiec County. A meal was provided by Agnieszka Mancewicz, an employer who is a friend of the Construction School Complex.
