The Matura exam pass rate in the county was 84.5% (third place in the voivodeship). In the ranking of different types of schools, technical schools in Bolesławiec performed best, ranking first in Lower Silesia (the pass rate was 81.5%, compared with the voivodeship average of 68%). General secondary schools also achieved a result above the voivodeship average – 90.4% (the average for Lower Silesia as a whole was 88.9%).
Such good results are the effect of expanding the educational offering of upper-secondary schools. Thanks to external funds obtained by the County and the schools, thousands of hours of extracurricular classes are held every year (mainly in Matura subjects).
– I am immensely pleased that the graduates of our technical schools achieved the best Matura results in the entire voivodeship this year. We came first in this category – says Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of Bolesławiec County. – This means that the investments in vocational education planned for the coming years, worth more than PLN 6 million, are targeted and highly desirable.
