Another road incident occurred on the A4 motorway. At around 4:00 a.m., two passenger cars collided at the 37th kilometre of the motorway. The Volkswagen driver rear-ended a Citroen. The two people travelling in the Citroen were injured and taken to hospital. The Volkswagen driver fled the scene, leaving the wrecked car behind.
The motorway at the Łąka junction towards the border was blocked for several hours. Traffic was diverted through Bolesławiec. At around 10:00 a.m., the lanes towards the border were reopened. Traffic is currently moving normally.
