The incident occurred on Tuesday, 19 November, at around 1:00 p.m., on the 59th kilometre of the A4 motorway toward Zgorzelec (near Osła in the Gromadka municipality).
The truck driver, a 54-year-old from Silesia, changed lanes improperly and hit a BMW passenger car driven by a 47-year-old from Zgorzelec County. A medical emergency response team was called to the scene, but fortunately the 47-year-old did not suffer any more serious injuries. He was not taken to hospital.
