The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 12, at around 8:00 a.m., on the road between Dobra and Kliczków. The driver of a Volkswagen, a 31-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road.
The man was injured. He was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury.
Moreover, the driver was drunk, with 1.3 per mille of alcohol in his system. He could now face up to two years in prison.
