The incident occurred on Thursday, November 7, before 9:00 p.m., on provincial road 352. District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec:
Police officers worked at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zgorzelec, including a forensic technician and an accident reconstruction expert; the road administrator was also present.
According to preliminary findings, a 57-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County stepped in front of an approaching Audi. The car was driven by a 19-year-old woman from the same county.
Unfortunately, despite resuscitation efforts, the man died at the scene.
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the case. Investigators appeal to all pedestrians to exercise caution and use reflective elements.
