The incident occurred at the end of October in Ruszów. Using a vehicle, the perpetrators forced open the door of a Dino supermarket and entered the building, from where they stole alcoholic beverages and cigarettes. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 20,000.

Interestingly, the thieves’ entire operation lasted… just three minutes.

Police officers from the station in Pieńsk and the police headquarters in Zgorzelec were sent to Ruszów. With the assistance of a forensic technician, the officers examined the scene and secured evidence. The officers:

The actions taken in the case—both operational and procedural—resulted in the suspects being identified and subsequently arrested.

The suspects are 34 and 42 years old. Both are residents of Zgorzelec County. The prosecutor placed both men under police supervision. Those arrested are also prohibited from leaving the country.

The burglars now face up to 10 years in prison.
