A Reader, who often drives along Żeromski Street in Bolesławiec, informed us that the repair work carried out by the District Roads Authority on Friday was, in his opinion, “botched”.
We asked Paweł Bednarski, head of the ZDP, for a comment. The manager asked for specifics. We therefore wrote to the Reader asking what, in his opinion, was wrong. The person who reported the matter replied:
For example, please show the potholes that were patched [...] e.g. near PKP, at the exit from the bus stop. The pothole was patched around the edges and filled with tar so that water would not get in during the winter.
And he added:
During frosts, if water gets in, the asphalt will crack. On Żeromski Street, no pothole has been sealed around the edges. In addition, some of the potholes, for example around the manholes, have not been repaired.
P. Bednarski:
As for sealing the edges with asphalt, this will be done, and the repair work is not yet finished in this respect.
