Officers from the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service held a talk on “Heating Season Hazards and First Aid” for students in grades 1–8 at the Primary School named after the Soldiers of the Second Army of the Polish Army in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki.
During the lesson, students learned how to respond to an unconscious person and how to report hazards at school and at home. They learned what to do when they noticed a fire or another hazard and, together with firefighters from the Bolesławiec Fire and Rescue Unit, practiced providing first aid and evacuating an injured person.
After the meeting, older students received information leaflets about providing first aid and how to properly form an emergency corridor on expressways.
