The incident occurred on Saturday, October 19, at one of the stores in Legnica. It turned out that a 22-year-old resident of the city had stolen chocolate bars and sweets worth approximately PLN 33 in total.
The man was spotted by the staff. But he wanted to keep his loot so badly that he would not allow the sweets to be taken from him. He hit a store employee and threatened him.
The man was detained. He was first taken to police custody and then—by decision of the prosecutor’s office—placed under police supervision.
The sweet tooth now faces up to three years in prison.
