The young vocalists performed on Wednesday, June 24, at the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. “This is a concert that concludes and sums up the school year,” Marek Łętowski, an MDK teacher, told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. During the concert, the audience listened to 15 songs. The young vocalists performed songs from the repertoires of, among others, Andrzej Piaseczny (“Chodź, przytul, przebacz”), Urszula Sipińska (“Cudownych rodziców mam”), Kaja Paschalska (“Przyjaciel potrzebny od zaraz”) and the group Varius Manx (“Orła cień”). “They performed much better than I had expected,” the teacher points out. “They handled their stage fright surprisingly well.”
As Łętowski emphasizes, more and more young people want to sing. “The number of participants in the vocal studio classes grows every year. In previous years, there were 20 of them; now there are more than 40. The number of applicants shows that these classes are needed,” the teacher says. “For me, the most important thing is that these children have contact with live music,” he adds.
The next concert by MDK students will take place on July 3. Female vocalists from Bożena’s Out Of Town group will perform on stage.
