The incident occurred on Saturday, October 12, in one of the villages in Rudna Municipality. While driving a Mazda passenger car, the driver caused a collision with a Volkswagen due to improper passing.
As it turned out, the 49-year-old resident of Polkowice County had nearly 2.5‰ of alcohol in his system.
The traffic police confiscated the man's driving licence and registration certificate. The car driven by the resident of Polkowice was towed to a police car park.
The 49-year-old will now face charges for causing a collision and driving while intoxicated. He could be sentenced to up to two years in prison.
