There were decorations awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland, awards from the Lower Silesian Education Superintendent, as well as awards and distinctions from the Bolesławiec County Board. What is more, school principals honored their most outstanding educators—for many years of impeccable work, an innovative approach to education, creative ingenuity and many other individual achievements.

“Ladies and gentlemen, when I think about you, I am certain that our county is an educational powerhouse, since we have such a staff,” County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak said. “I know that the past several months have been a very difficult time for us. We introduced an education reform. We passed that test. Thank you for your perseverance. I am convinced that, in terms of the standard of teaching, innovation and the use of EU projects, our county schools will continue to rank among the leading schools in Lower Silesia and the country.”

The County Head emphasized that educational success cannot be achieved through money alone. There must be teachers who treat their work as a mission—one that is seen and appreciated by students and their parents.
