Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County governor:
Everyone remembers at least one teacher: an exceptional person, wiser than average, and a kind friend. I wish educators to be remembered in precisely this way by their grateful students. I wish students to meet such masters on their journey.
A gala was held at the Stary Theatre, to which teachers from post-primary schools, support staff and employees of institutions closely cooperating with education were invited. Their founding authority is Bolesławiec County.
People distinguished by their achievements at work received awards presented by the Bolesławiec County Board and the directors of individual institutions. MDK in Bolesławiec:
Among those rightly honored was Joanna Mysłek-Michnowska – our art and ceramics teacher – who received a distinction from the county governor, Tomasz Gabrysiak, and Katarzyna Zięba, head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport.MDK director Dariusz Uściński recognized the following people for their special contribution to the cultural education of young people: Renata Dorosz, Katarzyna Sas, Anna Leśniewska, Aneta Ćwieluch and Marek Łętowski.
Administrative and technical support staff, without whom the smooth operation of the cultural center and theatre would not be possible, also deserved equal awards: Marzena Turecka, Łukasz Byzdra and Andrzej Malcher.
The education employees were also presented with awards by those attending the gala:
- Barbara Kuduk – deputy chair of the Bolesławiec County Council,
- Mirosław Horzempa – deputy governor of Bolesławiec County,
- Stanisław Chwojnicki – member of the Bolesławiec County Board,
- Waldemar Krysztofiak – chair of the Education, Health and Social Assistance Committee.
