– This is another investment of ours that will help improve air quality in Bolesławiec while also increasing the comfort of public transport journeys. Last year, using EU funds, we managed to purchase 13 new low-emission buses. Today, we are providing money for two more, says Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Voivodeship.
The vehicles, which will take to the streets of Bolesławiec in 2021, will have electric motors. This is very good news for the environment, as this type of propulsion does not emit harmful exhaust fumes. What is more, the new buses will replace two old and most failure-prone vehicles that do not meet the stringent standards concerning CO2 emissions. Both vehicles will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
The total cost of the project is nearly PLN 5 million, while the funding from the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship 2014–2020 amounts to PLN 3.4 million.
