On Monday, June 22, police detained a 35-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality. The man obtained cash loans using a falsified certificate of employment and earnings. He carried out the scheme from July 2004 to May 2008. Investigators proved that he had defrauded lenders of more than PLN 40,000.
The suspect took out loans at ten financial institutions in Bolesławiec. He now faces up to 8 years in prison.
