Officers from the Economic Crime Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters regularly conduct joint operations with officers from the Customs and Tax Control Department in Zgorzelec.
Police:
The latest operation concerned a premises located in central Bolesławiec. Earlier findings indicated that an illegal gambling arcade was operating there.
Four gaming machines were found on the premises. Their value was nearly PLN 50,000.
The machines were handed over to customs and tax control officers, who will now conduct further proceedings in the case.

The seized machines had games of chance installed on them, operated for commercial purposes. Organizing such games requires a concession necessary to run a casino.
A reminder: organizing gambling contrary to regulations is punishable by up to three years in prison.
