At the end of September, a reader who has been commuting to work in Wrocław since December 2018 wrote to us:

Until September this year, the trains ran on time. Since September, endless delays—of 10 to 30 minutes. The reason? The timetable was changed on the assumption that platform two in Bolesławiec would be put into service.

We asked PKP PLK, the company responsible for renovating the second platform in the City of Ceramics, about the matter. According to the company’s press spokesperson, the train delays have nothing to do with the investment mentioned, especially since the platform in question has not been in operation for a long time.

PKP PLK’s press office referred us to the carrier, the regional company Koleje Dolnośląskie.

We asked KD’s spokesperson about this on September 30. During a phone conversation, they promised to reply by email. So far—despite further phone calls and an SMS—we have not received the promised comment.

Today we asked the reader whether anything had changed. They replied:

No improvement. Delays of up to 40 minutes.
