With financial support from the county authorities, the Bolesławiec hospital purchased the necessary medical equipment for orthopaedic procedures—hip replacement surgeries.
These procedures are not subject to NFZ limits. In practice, this means that the hospital will receive reimbursement for every number of artificial hip joints implanted.
The current waiting time for surgery in Bolesławiec is the shortest in Lower Silesia. Surgical teams work in two shifts. Patients in so-called acute conditions are operated on immediately.

For many years, the Bolesławiec hospital performed two hip replacement procedures a month. Now it performs 15 a week.

The number of operations will increase to 20 a week in the near future.
