A woman reported to the police that her 35-year-old partner was causing a disturbance. When officers entered the premises, they noticed a distinct smell of marijuana. Their attention was also drawn to sounds coming from devices that, as it later turned out, were being used to grow cannabis plants.
The 35-year-old had set up a plantation in the corner of the room. Officers secured 12 plants (at various stages of development) and also found ready-dried marijuana, from which nearly... 3,000 commercial portions could have been obtained.
The man was placed in police custody. He now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
