As we have established, the prices of central heating and hot water in Bolesławiec have risen by 10 to over 15 percent. – The main reason for this increase was the speculative rise in prices on the CO2 allowance market – from 15 euros per tonne of allowances to around 27 euros – Rafał Koronkiewicz, head of the Bolesławiec Heating Energy Plant, explains to istotne.pl. – The second reason is the increase in coal prices and, of course, other costs.
But he immediately adds:
Compared with neighboring towns, we have the lowest heat price.
And he emphasizes:
If we replaced the heat we obtain from coal fines with heat generated, for example, from gas, prices would rise by at least 20 percent.
