The Wspólnota magazine prepared a ranking of the use of EU funds for transport investments in 2014–2018. The authors of the ranking examined subsidies from European funds used by local governments in Poland since 2014 (from the beginning of the EU’s current, ongoing budget perspective), allocated to transport investments:

The reason for this choice is that this area encompasses the largest share of EU funds obtained by Polish local government units (JST) [jednostki samorządu terytorialnego – przyp. istotne.pl].

The ranking’s authors add:

Our ranking covers the value of subsidies in 2014–2018. Local governments’ expenditure from EU funds during this period (based on local government budget reports) is calculated per resident.

Bolesławiec County performed very well in this ranking, taking 10th place in Poland in its category (PLN 234.71 in subsidies per resident). The City of Bolesławiec ranked 35th (PLN 308.71).
