Officers from the Central Police Investigation Bureau in Wrocław established that a cannabis plantation was located in Bolesławiec County.

CBŚP:

Everything indicated that the rooms where a mushroom farm was supposed to be located housed an illegal cultivation operation.

During the operation, the police had no doubts about where the cultivation site was, because the distinctive smell of cannabis coming from the building gave it away. It turned out that the entire facility was also under surveillance.

A 39-year-old Krzysztof O. was detained in connection with the case. Before the officers entered the hall, the man demanded a “search warrant.” “He was probably trying to prevent the building from being searched,” the officers said.

The 39-year-old’s nervous behavior only confirmed the officers’ suspicions. In one of the rooms in the hall, officers discovered growing plants. After carefully counting them, they found 1,280 cannabis plants there. That quantity of plants could have produced at least 384 kg of finished drugs worth over PLN 6 million.

In the office rooms, officers discovered plastic bags containing 30 kg of finished marijuana worth PLN 480,000.

Additionally, during a search of another premises, police found and secured a stun gun and even a firearm.

The detained Krzysztof O. was taken to the Lower Silesian Branch of the National Prosecutor’s Office’s Department for Organized Crime and Corruption in Wrocław, where he was charged with cultivating and trafficking significant quantities of narcotic substances, as well as possessing a firearm.

At the prosecutor’s request, the District Court in Wrocław remanded the suspect in custody for three months.

CBŚP:

Investigators are now determining, among other things, where the drugs were supposed to go, who may have been involved in the operation, and how long the plantation had been operating.
