Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters identified and arrested the driver who, after causing a road accident, fled the scene.
The 21-year-old from Bolesławiec was driving a car he had bought a week earlier when he failed to yield to a car traveling properly, then fled the scene, hoping in this way to avoid responsibility for his actions.
When the 21-year-old was arrested, it came to light that he had also committed a theft worth more than PLN 700 the day before the aforementioned accident.
The young man could now face up to five years in prison.
