A Reader contacted us asking that we publicize the issue of the road in the village of Wierzbowa. They wrote on Facebook:
[…] a question for the county and municipal authorities: when will they deal with the road through Wierzbowa, since through their incompetence in building roads they have contributed!!! to the road’s tragic condition; the road looked better before the “renovation”.
The road is so narrow that two cars cannot pass each other, which—as the Reader emphasizes—poses a threat to health and life.
Paweł Bednarski, head of the County Roads Authority:
With the safety of users of county road no. 2272D and the residents of Wierzbowa in mind, Bolesławiec County submitted an application this year for funding from the “Local Government Roads Fund” programme, which would make it possible to rebuild the county road in the village of Wierzbowa in 2020, along the section indicated by the Reader.
