From Monday to Wednesday, police recorded a total of 14 road incidents in Bolesławiec County. On Monday, there were six collisions, on Tuesday another three, while on Wednesday police intervened in four collisions and one road accident.

The most serious incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, in Wierzbowa.

According to police findings, a 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was driving an Audi. The man failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions. At one point, he lost control of the vehicle, which hit a fence and then overturned.

There was also a passenger in the car. As a result of the incident, the passenger suffered a spinal injury and was transported to hospital.

Police point out that good weather does not mean drivers can afford to be less cautious. Even in favorable road conditions, a situation requiring a quick reaction may occur, while a sudden change in the weather can further worsen driving conditions.

A sudden downpour can be particularly dangerous. A wet surface becomes slippery, and a car's braking distance increases significantly. In such conditions, it is important not only to observe speed limits, but also to adjust speed to the actual situation on the road.

Police appeal to drivers to exercise caution, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and adjust their speed to the road conditions.
