We received information from our Reader that a Dino chain store is being built at the site of the former Restauracja Słoneczna (on Nila Street, formerly II Armii Wojska Polskiego Street). The chain itself does not confirm this information, explaining that it does not provide information about plans and opening dates for new Dino stores.

However, it is enough to look at the information board at the construction site to immediately know which store is being built there. Construction of the store will certainly take several months. It is not known whether the chain will manage to open it by the end of this year or will instead open it in the new year.

Dino Polska is one of the fastest-growing supermarket chains in Poland. It has more than 1,000 locations, mainly in western and southern Poland. This will be the second Dino in Bolesławiec. A store of the chain is already located on Starzyńskiego Street.

In the Bolesławiec County area, Dino stores are already located in Gromadka, Nowogrodziec, Trzebień, Wykroty, Warta Bolesławiecka and Iwiny. The owner of the Dino chain is Tomasz Biernacki. He owns 51% of the shares. The remaining 49% of Dino chain shares initially belonged to the private equity fund Enterprise Investors. As reported by Wikipedia:

In April 2017, as part of a public offering, Enterprise Investors sold all the company shares it held on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The buyers were Polish and foreign financial institutions—investment funds and pension funds—as well as individual Polish investors.
