He killed a 26-year-old woman in Lubusz. Attacker shot dead in Germany

The incident occurred today, before 1:00 p.m., in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

According to the Onet.pl portal, an armed 26-year-old man entered a laundromat on Owcza Street in Gorzów and fired one or several shots from a firearm at a 26-year-old woman. The woman could not be saved.

The attacker most likely left the scene by car. A pursuit and an operation by Lubusz police are under way. Counterterrorism officers are taking part in the operation.

Additional police forces from provinces bordering Lubusz were also mobilized, including police from Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

As stated on the Lubusz police Facebook profile:

According to preliminary information provided to us by the German side, the attacker suspected of murdering the 26-year-old woman in Gorzów Wlkp. was fatally shot while German police officers attempted to arrest him in the Berlin area.

Information about the manhunt had previously been forwarded to Germany.
