Officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec stopped a vehicle for inspection after its driver exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 70 km/h.

The man was in such a hurry that he entered the railway crossing while the barriers had not yet finished rising.

The driver is a 43-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. The police confiscated his driving licence. The Bolesławiec resident was also fined and received 14 penalty points.

KPP:

We remind you that, under the applicable regulations, any road user who exceeds the speed limit in a built-up area by at least 50 km/h will lose their driving licence for three months. The document is confiscated directly by the police officer conducting the inspection.

If, despite the ban, such a person continues to drive, the period during which their driving privileges are withdrawn will be extended to six months.

The officers add:

If the situation occurs again during this time, the starost will issue a decision revoking the person's driving privileges. This will mean that they must take the driving test again.
