Jelenia Góra detectives identified and detained two men, aged 38 and 39, suspected of a series of burglaries. Both detainees are residents of Jelenia Góra.

Officers determined that between July and September, the men committed at least six property-related offenses. These involved burglaries at grocery discount stores in Jelenia Góra.

The thieves mainly stole cigarettes and alcohol. The victims’ preliminary losses amount to approximately 20,000 złoty.

(During the burglaries, the men wore balaclavas to avoid being identified. It is possible that the detainees are responsible for more offenses of this kind).

Police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the case, including what happened to the stolen property.

The suspects were initially taken to police custody and later, at the prosecutor’s request, were remanded in custody by the court for three months. Both detainees face up to ten years in prison.
