Lubin traffic police stopped as many as four drivers in one day. Each of them exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 51 km/h. At one point, the record-breaker was travelling at 113 km/h, which was 63 km/h more than permitted by the regulations.

All four lost their driving licences.

Three of those detained were caught on national road no. 36, in the village of Miłosna. The officers said: “It was precisely on this section that many road accidents have occurred in recent years, in which people died at the scene.”

In addition, the speeders were fined (PLN 500 each) and received 10 penalty points each.

The police appeal:

Driver, slow down! Speed kills! Drivers who disregard the rules and ignore the applicable speed limits pose a threat to other road users.
