Cosplay (コ ス プ レ kosupure) is an artistic hobby in which people known as cosplayers create costumes and embody fictional characters.
The PixelMania event, attended by cosplayers, will be held in our region for the fifth time. For the first time, Lubomierz will host its participants. For three consecutive days, from Friday to Sunday (2–4 August), characters straight out of films, fairy tales and books will be seen on the town’s streets.
– Cosplay is not just “dressing up.” It is fun, a hobby, a passion, and a constant process of improving oneself and one’s skills. What kind? Everything from stage performances and posing to sewing and processing various materials – says Mateusz Zahora, a well-known Polish photographer from Studio Zahora.
The event organizers have also remembered the residents of Lubomierz and tourists visiting the town. On Saturday morning, 3 August, between 10:00 and 10:45, everyone will be able to meet the participants and ask them to take a photo together.
– I warmly invite everyone interested, especially children, to the market square in Lubomierz at this time – says Krzysztof Jodko-Narkiewicz, the event organizer.
