On Monday, July 29, Border Guard officers discovered that four Ukrainian citizens were working at a construction site in one of the localities in Nowogrodziec gmina. It emerged that the foreigners were staying in Poland for a purpose inconsistent with the one they had declared when entering the Republic of Poland.
Moreover, it turned out that the men, aged 41–60, had neither work permits nor contracts confirming their legal employment. The officers stated:
The Commander of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec initiated administrative proceedings ex officio concerning the obligation for the foreigners to leave Poland.
The Polish employer may face a fine of up to PLN 30,000.
