The incident occurred in the evening on one of the streets of Bolesławiec. The man attacked an 80-year-old woman. Trying to snatch her handbag, the perpetrator knocked the victim to the ground.
Fortunately, bystanders reacted immediately. Police: “The fleeing attacker had no chance.”
The man was apprehended and handed over to the police. The 80-year-old woman suffered minor injuries. The brave woman fought to keep her belongings to the end; she did not hand over her handbag to the robber.
The suspect turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality. At the investigators’ request, the man was remanded in custody for three months. The aggressor now faces up to 12 years in prison.
