On 20 July, a dangerous road incident occurred at the railway crossing in Wykroty. A recording showing a minibus stuck between the barrier and a moving train was published, among other places, on our website.

After reading the report and watching the recording, the District Police Commander in Bolesławiec ordered that the matter be treated as a priority. In connection with the resulting threat to road traffic safety, explanatory proceedings were to be carried out to establish the circumstances and causes of the incident in detail.
The driver was identified as a 33-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, who has already been charged. Police will submit a motion to the District Court in Bolesławiec to punish the driver.
Police confiscated the 33-year-old's driving licence. The man faces a fine. In addition, the court may impose a driving ban.
