The discussion about the county hospital dominated Friday’s extraordinary meeting of the Bolesławiec County Council. During the session, the head of the Platforma Samorządowa councillors’ group, Karol Stasik, asked the starost whether the expansion of the operating theatre block would continue.
The starost, Tomasz Gabrysiak, explained that the planned first stage had already been completed. It had also already been settled with the contractor. The County has approximately PLN 900,000 allocated for the hospital in this year’s budget; it will spend the money on essential purchases.
T. Gabrysiak added that by the end of September this year, the current director of the ZOZ, Kamil Barczyk, is to present the Bolesławiec County Board with a complete concept for the operation of the aforementioned wing. It is already known that the idea is for the new hospital building to house outpatient clinics that are not yet available in Bolesławiec, as well as diagnostic laboratories. All of this is intended to increase the hospital’s revenue.
The head of the County Board stressed that by the end of September, the Board would present councillors with a coherent concept concerning the operating theatre block.
We will certainly return to this subject.
