Saturday’s performance was already the young artists’ fourth show. After “Promocja Tekstylu,” “Zaduszki Poetyckie” and “The Little Prince,” it was time for another project.

The script was written by the actors themselves. It was based on poems by Magda Kamyszek, who also works with the Theatre. The cast included: Gabriela Pawlik, Aleksandra Downar, Diana Filipowicz and Artur Gołdyn.

The performance was full of contrasts. Two heroines were set against each other. The first was broken and lonely, while the second was cheerful and full of hope. Their thoughts and problems were accompanied by the characters White and Black. The former offered comfort and filled them with optimism, while the latter suggested dark thoughts. The performance contained many things left unsaid, often concerning love and loneliness.

Teatr Manufaktura has existed for two years. It operates at the Bolesławiec Youth Cultural Centre. Its work is supervised by Katarzyna Pranić. The young people also publish their own magazine, Tekstyl, which promotes texts by emerging artists. So far, four issues have been published; they can easily be found in middle- and high-school reading rooms.
