On the fence opposite Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec on T. Kościuszki Street, there is a recruitment banner from another ceramic company: Manufaktura w Bolesławcu Smoleński & Zwierz Sp. J. Sp. k. Every employee of Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec, when entering the company premises and when leaving the company, sees that the competition is hiring people just like them.
More interestingly, a technologist with a team moved from Ceramika Artystyczna Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego, the city’s third-largest ceramic company, to Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec. Perhaps Manufaktura also has a plan to take over skilled workers, or is counting on another transfer during a period when the situation between the trade unions and management at ZC Bolesławiec is tense.
Some employees representing the trade unions at ZC Bolesławiec asked New Left MP Arkadiusz Sikora for help and mediation between them and management. The reported problems concerned working conditions, the nature of the work and wages. In July 2025, ZC Bolesławiec employees protested against changes to the remuneration system.
