The incident occurred on Saturday the 13th, after 11:00 a.m., at the 50th kilometre of the A4 motorway (near the Krzyżowa interchange).
The driver of a passenger car lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and hit an energy-absorbing barrier.
The man was injured. He was treated by a medical rescue team.
The police are investigating the causes of the incident.
