We received a report from a reader about the wreck of a car on Jezierskiego Street:

An abandoned car has been standing on Jezierskiego Street for several years; it has been reported to the municipal police, the police and the housing cooperative—with no results. [...] This is what it looks like.

We asked the Bolesławiec Municipal Police about the matter. Kamila Chalewicz-Pudłowska, commander of the Municipal Police:

Please direct your inquiry to the Bolesławianka Housing Cooperative, to which the matter of this vehicle was referred in accordance with its remit on 6 September 2017.

She added:

Under Article 50a of the Road Traffic Act, the municipal police or the police may remove, at the owner’s expense, a vehicle without registration plates or one whose condition indicates that it is not being used, from a road. The vehicle in question is located on plot no. 359/4, which is not a road but a residential area; therefore, in this case, the obligation to remove the vehicle rests with the owner of the property, namely the Bolesławianka Housing Cooperative.

Beata Ślęzak, head of Bolesławianka:

Since 2017, the cooperative has repeatedly contacted MZGM in Bolesławiec, the Police and the Municipal Police in writing and by telephone. However, these actions did not produce the expected result. Through the Police, the vehicle’s owner was identified and a notice was sent to him demanding that he remove the vehicle, but he did not collect it from the post office.

The cooperative therefore contacted the City Office and asked it to take steps to remove the vehicle. We are awaiting effective action by the City Office.

Perhaps the city authorities will manage to do something about this wreck?
