Drivers stopped by officers on Tuesday, July 9, were speeding at more than 100 km/h in a built-up area. After 7 p.m., a 26-year-old resident of Silesian Voivodeship was stopped in Godzieszów; the van driver was travelling at 105 km/h.

The second driver was stopped at 9 p.m. in Bolesławiec. The 64-year-old resident of Lubusz Voivodeship exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by 54 km/h.

KPP Bolesławiec:

Both drivers disregarded traffic regulations and therefore lost their driving licences for three months and were fined PLN 400 and given 10 penalty points.

The officers add:

We remind you that, under the applicable regulations, every road user who exceeds the speed limit in a built-up area by at least 50 km/h will lose their driving licence for three months. The document is taken directly by the police officer conducting the inspection.

If, despite the ban, such a person continues to drive a vehicle, the period for which the driving entitlement is revoked will be extended to six months.

If the situation occurs again during this period, the starosta will issue a decision revoking the driving entitlement. This will mean that the person must take the driving test again.
