In April we reported on a dispute over whether a coach at the municipal football academy can simultaneously be a councillor of that municipality and receive remuneration.

At the centre of the dispute was Michał Sudoł, a councillor of the Nowogrodziec City Council, who received notice terminating his contract for conducting sports activities with children at the Municipal Football Academy in Nowogrodziec. Although the Lower Silesian Voivode stated in a letter that, in Michał Sudoł’s case, the supervisory authority found no grounds for the expiry of his councillor’s mandate, coach Michał Sudoł may not conduct the activities. The coach is pursuing his sporting passions elsewhere.

Three months have passed since those events, but, as can be seen and heard, the dispute has not ended, and tensions are flaring between the councillors. Evidence of this is the argument between councillor Kazimierz Czerniak and councillor Michał Sudoł, which occurred during the June session in Nowogrodziec. Below is an excerpt from the proceedings.
