A colorful procession made its way from Bolesławiec’s Market Square to the stage in Piłsudski Square. It included residents of Bolesławiec: folk groups, rural women’s circles, local government officials and members of non-governmental organizations, as well as students of the University of the Third Age. Mayor Piotr Roman and invited guests from partner cities welcomed those gathered at the stage.
Diverse, Colorful and European in Bolesławiec
After 1945, Bolesławiec became a place where Poles from various parts of Europe settled together: from the Balkans, including Bosnia and Croatia, from France and from Lviv in Ukraine. This year’s Days of Bolesławiec highlights our ability to live together.
