This is an extremely important service for residents’ safety—although it is often unfairly perceived as burdensome, particularly by business owners—protecting them, for example, from food poisoning and the spread of serious infectious diseases.
The sanitary inspection service investigates, protects and educates. Thanks to its employees, people’s health and lives are protected. Information about how frequent and dangerous these threats are most often does not reach the public precisely because disease outbreaks are detected and contained at an early stage.
“I rate Mrs. Jolanta Boroch’s work—or rather, her service—and professionalism very highly,” said Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak. “Mrs. Jolanta is retiring, but she has prepared her staff so well that her successor will continue her work. I am completely at ease about that.”
The new head of the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station is Urszula Felczyńska, Jolanta Boroch’s deputy until now, specializing, among other things, in food and nutrition hygiene.
